 About The Practitioner

"Educate ~ Inspire ~ Support"

Having moved here right out of college, I am a long-time Boulder resident. I grew up in South Dakota. I got my interest in holistic health from my mother. While we resided in the midwest, my mom was always the alternative one or fish-out-of-water so to speak.

I remember her emphasis on nutrition, her visits to the chiropractor, her love for yoga and coming home from school one day to find her inverted on an ironing board propped up against the couch with cucumber slices on her eyes.

Upon relocation to Boulder, I gravitated towards the multitude of offerings in this holistic mecca. I have a real passion for yoga. I have studied many forms and practiced all my life. While working my first professional job in a laboratory, I realized a stronger desire to work with people. I then attended massage therapy college, became a bodyworker and began teaching yoga. After some years, I felt my skills as a practitioner would be better utilized with deeper study, thus obtaining my masters in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In addition to my acupuncture practice I am employed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a hospital laboratory setting. I am mother to one  precious daughter.

What is your most valuable asset? The one you cannot purchase with any amount of money. If lost, you would spend the rest of your life seeking. The answer is your physical and mental well-being. I was fortunate to embody this valuable lesson at a young age. My satisfaction in being a practitioner comes from not only using the skills of my teachings and trainings, but more so from educating, inspiring and supporting my patients to greater levels of wellness and satisfaction. You deserve to experience life using your talents and skills at your highest level of function.
